As a Data Analyst Intern at Psyliq, I had the privilege of crafting a Human Resource dashboard using Power BI, unraveling key facets of our organizational tapestry. Let’s embark on a journey through the insights garnered, each data point a testament to the vibrancy and potential of our workforce.

Data Overview

Before delving into the rich insights unveiled by our Human Resource dashboard, let's take a moment to appreciate the intricacies of the dataset under analysis. Comprising 4,410 rows and 30 columns, each entry encapsulates a distinct facet of our dynamic workforce. Here's a snapshot of the key columns that form the bedrock of our data exploration:

  1. Employee Basics:
    Age, Gender, MaritalStatus, Education:
    Dive into the demographics of our workforce, understanding the age range, gender distribution, marital status, and the educational tapestry that paints the canvas of our organization.
  2. Job Details:
    Department, JobRole, JobLevel:
    Explore the varied landscapes of our organization, from different departments to the diverse roles and hierarchical levels that contribute to our collective success.
  3. Satisfaction and Engagement:
    JobSatisfaction, EnvironmentSatisfaction, RelationshipSatisfaction, WorkLifeBalance:
    Gauge the pulse of our workplace by delving into employee satisfaction and engagement levels across different facets of their professional lives.

Key Insight From The Dashboard:
1. Workforce Overview: Navigating Through Numbers
Within the confines of our digital canvas, a total of 4,410 employees come to life. The attrition rate, a notable 16.12%, beckons us to explore the intricacies of employee transitions. Among them, 711 individuals have reached the termination crossroads. Yet, the essence lies beyond mere numbers. The average age, a youthful 37 years, and an average tenure of 7 years signify the rich tapestry of experience within our organization. The typical monthly income of $65,029 adds a financial hue to our workforce portrait.

2. Educational Trends: A Beacon of Knowledge
Amidst the sea of degrees, a notable educational trend emerges — the majority of our employees hold the coveted Bachelor’s degree. This academic stronghold infuses our workforce with diverse perspectives, laying the groundwork for a harmonious blend of skills and knowledge.

3. Age Distribution: The Heartbeat of Our Team
In the age group spectrum, individuals aged 25–34 pulse as the lifeblood of our organization. Their vigor, innovation, and collaborative spirit shape the very essence of our workplace culture. Understanding this distribution isn’t merely about numbers; it’s about recognizing the potential for creativity and collective achievement within a specific age demographic.

4. Performance Ratings: Decoding Excellence
Within the nuanced world of performance ratings, a fascinating dichotomy unfolds. A staggering 85% of our employees proudly wear the badge of a 3, signifying consistent achievement at the core. Meanwhile, the distinguished 15% receiving a rating of 4 stand as beacons of excellence, embodying the spirit of high performance that propels our organization forward.

5. Employee Surveys: Aligning Voices
The symphony of employee surveys echoes in harmony, revealing a captivating alignment. Scores for performance rating, work-life balance, job satisfaction, job involvement, and environment satisfaction converge at the 3-score level. This convergence isn’t mere coincidence — it’s a testament to the shared sentiments and experiences that weave our organizational fabric together.
